- Canaan Employment Empowerment Program (CEEP)
Our Employment Program provides comprehensive employment services for job applicants and specialized needs to local employers. The program purpose is to train educate and prepare people for the workforce. We accomplish this by providing job readiness workshops,, career enhancement seminars, career resource development and services, one-on-one assessments, counseling and support services that equip and empower persons to secure and retain employment in today's competitive job market.
- Computer Literacy Education Program (CLEP)
Designed to provide computer instructions and learning through basic, intermediate and advanced technology. Our computer labs have state-of-the-art computers,, Internet access and Windows Operating Systems. Classes are open to the entire Louisville and surrounding communities. Through innovative collaborative efforts and local partnerships with local universities, it is our plan to provide comprehensive computer instruction to empower persons towards self-improvement and self-sufficiency.
- G.E.D. and E.S.L. Programs
In partnership with Jefferson County Public Schools our Adult Education programs train and prepare persons seeking to obtain their GED or learn English as a Second Lanuage (E.S.L). Both programs operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am - 11 am weekly.
- The Sons of Issachar Academy
The Sons of Issachar Academy is a signature program of CCDC, grooming young men the in 3rd-8th grades to be future scholars. Students enrolled in the Academy learn skills designed to advancement their academic, social, and leadership development. The Academy operates Monday - Thursdays during the school year from 3 pm to 7 pm daily.
- Project H.O.P.E.
Project H.O.P.E. is a school retention and college preparation program for high school students. Youth and young adults ages 14-21 can participate in weekly activities to support their goals to pursue a college education or career. Church and community leaders serve as mentors and class facilitators to empower youth and young adult achievement. Classes are held Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 8 pm weekly.
- Daughters of Promise
Daughters of Promise(DOP) is a 9-month program for young women seeking to break the cycle of poverty, spiritual brokenness, and emotional distress. Members of the Daughters of Promise will receive three levels of supports: 1) personal empowerment (8 weeks); 2) life skills development (5 weeks); and 3) personal growth (6-months). Women participate in a total of 13 weeks of group support, and individual support for 6 months from a mentor who will work one-on-one to help participants achieve personal goals. Meetings are held on Tuesdays evenings from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. Childcare is provided.
- SES - Free Tutoring Services
In partnership with Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS), CCDC provides students attending Title I schools, 32 hours of "free" tutoring during the academic year. Students will demonstrate improved grades and increased test scores through this comprehensive service. Tutoring sessions are available Monday - Thursdays from 3 pm - 7 pm.
